Where Journalism Meets Justice
I am Gabrielle De La Cruz, a journalism student and aspiring lawyer who treats this site like a living magazine of my work. My reporting, photography, and broadcast projects all circle the same question, how do laws, systems, and public decisions shape everyday lives.
I study, write, and create across Texas, and I care about making those big ideas feel clear, honest, and relevant for people my age and for decision-makers.
Learning In Real Newsrooms
My growth does not live only in classrooms. I have contributed to a State Bar of Texas guardianship law course paper, produced work with outlets like NPR affiliate KTTZ and Hub City Preps, and I stay grounded in ethical standards through my Society of Professional Journalists membership.
Each newsroom, courthouse, and office I step into teaches me something different about fairness, accuracy, and how to explain complex issues without losing the human story.
Where I Am Headed
In the years ahead, I plan to keep building at the intersection of law, media, and public service. That means more government and courts reporting, deeper legal research, and a radio show that connects music, pop culture, and serious conversations in one place.
